Hear from Mary
Hi, my name is Mary, and I’m a counselor-in-training who is passionate about walking with people through the messy, meaningful work of healing and growth. I believe we are all wired for connection and capable of transformation when we’re given a safe space to reflect, process, and be truly seen.
My approach to counseling is flexible and person-centered. I don’t follow a single theory or model—instead, I aim to meet each client where they are. I want to help people think critically, explore the root of their responses, and grow in self-awareness and resilience.
I value honesty, curiosity, and holding space for the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. Faith plays an important role in my life, and I welcome the opportunity to incorporate spirituality into the counseling process for those who desire it. I also work respectfully with people of all backgrounds, regardless of belief.
Outside the therapy room, I enjoy leading worship, spending time with my Great Dane, Luna, and listening to true crime podcasts. That last one unexpectedly sparked a deep compassion for first responders and a desire to support those who serve in high-stress, high-impact roles.
Whether Luna and I are walking the neighborhood, relaxing on the patio, or squeezing in a good nap, I’m reminded of the value of slowing down and staying grounded. Wherever you are in your journey, I would be honored to walk alongside you.
